Deborah Chen is a Graduate Research Assistant for the Youth Engagement Initiative (YEI) of RISE’S Education Core.
Prior to joining RISE, Deborah worked in Appalachia Kentucky as a Living Labs Coordinator with HealthCorps where she worked with middle schoolers, high schoolers, and staff in the areas of health education and health promotion. It was there that she saw firsthand how important engaging and empowering young people could be and how vital that is to ensure the health of future generations.
Deborah is currently pursing her MPH in Behavioral Science and Health Education as well as a certificate in Maternal and Child Health at Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health. She received her B.S. in Anthropology and Human Biology and a B.A. in Human Health from Emory University.
