Kari White serves a co-investigator for the Changing Landscape of Georgia's Publicly Funded Reproductive Healthcare study, the Pregnancy Resource Center Evaluation and the Confidentiality and Parental Involvement study.
White is an associate professor in the Department of Healthcare Organization and Policy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health. She conducts family planning health services research using qualitative and quantitative methods. Her research focuses on access to contraception and abortion services, particularly for low-income and immigrant populations.
White has a Ph.D. in sociology with a concentration in demography from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She also holds an MPH from Tulane University and an M.A. from the University of Arizona.
