Subasri Narasimhan completed her PhD in Community Health Sciences at the University of California Los Angeles Fielding School of Public Health where she was a Bixby Doctoral Fellow, Child and Family Health Trainee, and a Eunice Kennedy Scriver NICHD Pre-Doctoral Trainee. Her MPH in Maternal and Child Health was completed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her doctoral training, Suba focused the majority of her work on reproductive health in marginalized populations in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. Her dissertation examined the impact of intimate partner violence on contraceptive use in Kenya. A native of North Carolina, she is excited to be back in the Southeast. During her Post-Doctoral fellowship, Suba will employ mixed and multi-level methodology to study the impact of policy restrictions on abortion provision and contraceptive use on the health and wellbeing of women.
