The RISE Youth Engagement Initiative (YEI) is a youth-led project that engages teens as sexual and reproductive health research partners. The YEI brings together a cohort of 15 young people, aged 15-18, from the metro Atlanta area to lead their own reproductive health research project. Youth will be trained in public health outcomes research, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health, and will collectively conduct a community assessment on a reproductive health issue of their choice. The goal of this project is to help young people develop skills in leadership, research, community engagement, and most importantly provide youth-centric insight to reproductive health research in the Southeastern U.S.
