RISE is first and foremost a center that focuses on research. Our goal is to advance the scientific understanding of the many factors that affect reproductive health access and outcomes in the Southeast. RISE's Research Core is comprised of six RISE-led research projects and one community-led research project focused on understanding and addressing social determinants of reproductive health.
This project examines the factors affecting access to medication abortion for Black and Latinx women in Georgia. It is led by SisterLove, the oldest nonprofit servinc women at risk of HIV/AIDS in Georgia, in partnership with RISE.
